Will 960 steering column fit 740? 700 1990

I need a replacement air bag for a 1990 740 N/A. The bone yard has a 92 960, can I change the whole steering wheel with this one will it fit and are what cautions should I observe while working on SRS

    Disconnect the battery and wait 5-10 mins for any capacitors to discharge. When you take the column out the donor cut the yellow connector from the harness itself, strip back some wire and short them together. This will keep the airbag from going off from RF sources or static electricity. I accidently blew an airbag on a squad car when I was using a hand held radio talking to my assistant who was getting parts. The airbag connector was disconnected under the dash but I didnt short the terminals...

    Those things have one hell of a punch!
