would a loose wire cause this. 700 1987

Seems to be a heat related problem. Car runs like crap at idle or stop lights, signs, traffic back-ups, etc when warm. Also noticing some cut-out at higher revs but by and large keeping some throttle in it keeps it running. (Real fun when trying to stop and give it accelerator at the same time). It's hard to start when warm, but tapping the radio suppression relay with a screwdriver handle seems to solve that for a short time. Noticed that one of the wires going to the RSR is hanging by a few strands. Question is, would the broken wire cause problems when warm or do I have a combo of problems?

Pry the cover off the relay and try cleaning the relay contacts with some fine grit sandpaper (600). They're probably pitted or blackened.

Hard to tell, but the RSR controls your fuel injector power, so it plays a big role. Sounds like a new or resoldered relay is in order. Take a look at your engine wiring harness as well.
