I have to look into my '93 wagon rear end sagging. I'm certain the bushings are worn from the groans it makes going over bumps. How difficult is it to replace the springs/bushings? Any special tools required? How long would it take on average?

Assuming that your rear trailing arm bushings are OK, a new set of springs( especially Moog Cargo coils ) will bring it right up, if the budget is a concern, scour the boneyards for a late model wagon to scrounge the rear springs from.

Exactly right.
Verify the rear trailing arm bushings
(a pain to do, or about US $200 if done in a shop)
car loses about 3/4 inch if bushings are bad
Then replace coils.
I've just installed Moog Cargo Coils on our 245, work great.

I have IPD over load springs in all of my wagons and they are great.
