Australia -- parts for 240 200 1988

I live in Canberra, Australia. Would fellow Aussies know of reasonable spare parts (oil filters et cetera) sources and wrecking yards in Sydney or Canberra? Many thanks, and Happy Motoring.

Not quite your intended area, but I bought a couple of keenly priced items from Hinterland Volvos in Nerang on the Gold Coast through eBay. Pair of German brand tailgate struts A$80, pair of aftermarket taillights for the 240 wagon AUD150.
Postage was included, to anywhere in Australia. They wreck too, but mainly deal in new parts, OEM and aftermarket.

That's very fair pricing. They would be worth dealing with too. Many thanks for that, George.

You could try Gerry and Mark at A-Class Ph: 02 9771 3611. They're in Revesby, south-western Sydney. They have kept my Bricks in parts over the years. When I last called around the local Volvo dealers looking for a window switch even they referred me to A-Class. Good Luck.

I'm in Auckland, New Zealand. Here Volvo parts are expensive due to the small market, especially for the older ones. I have ordered from www.eurocarparts.com with great service. I have also ordered from http://www.essendonsportandprestige.com.au/volvcare/volvcare.html with great prices, but the copper crush washers that came with the fuel filter was the wrong size... Still great price, and at work we happen to use the same washer on a milk meter or electric fence enregizer or something that we manufacture, so I've got an endless supply of those. Anyway, also havea look at http://volvoadventures.com/parts.html where I am the 140 series forum moderator.

Thanks for that info. Anything to keep the old Volvo on the road sure is useful. Take care and happy motoring!
