p1800 16.5'x6' wheels 1800

I saw these for sale on craigslist for $100. Are they standard equipment for the p1800's? Would they be 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern?

Craigslist Ad

"Four original rims from 1971 Volvo P1800. Steel with alloy center hubs including the four chrome "V" center plugs. Rims are 16-1/2" Dia. X 6" wide, five bolt pattern."

I don't know who the seller is. Maybe someone here needs a set.

    p1800 16.5'x6' wheels 1800

They appear to be early 1800E production standard wheels. They are 15 inches diameter, maybe 5 inches wide - they must be measuring on the outside of the wheel, not where the tire bead mounts. Good for a 195/15 tire and no wider. They would be the 4.25" (+- a smidgen) later model bolt pattern.

They have a cast aluminum center section riveted to a steel rim. I've heard that the aluminum can corrode and catastrophically break free from the rim, but mine have hung together on my car, even as the body has succumbed to the ravages of winter salt. (It was my only car for a few years and I drove it in the winter here - RIP)

Dunlop wheels as used on the '70 and '71 1800E. Not 16.5 x 6 -- 15 x 5.5 (or maybe even 5.0), 108mm bolt circle. Rim and hub are dissimilar metals, leading to structural failures from galvanic corrosion. They are also VERY heavy.
