Instrument Cluster 200 1988

Can anyone help me out?

1988 240 DL

I took out the instrument cluster to look for where the odometer gear was(it was stripped) so I could install a new odometer gear once I bought one. Before unplugging the wires I labeled them, to make it easy to find where they go when I plugged them back in. When I was finished, I put it all back together, and the speedometer doesn't work.

I do not know what to do. I have tried unplugging and replugging still doesn't work. One time the speedometer would move, just not to the right MPH. It would go to high, and move wierd. Now it doesn't work at all.

Thanks,
Trafton

Hi Trafton, can you pls. tell me where the L shaped connector in the instrument cluster go? I have connected the 2 spade type/1 half moon/1 full moon, but I don't know where to plug the L shaped connctor. When I disconnected the wires I was careless by not drawing a diagram of where the wires go.By the way I also have an 88 240 dl w/ 198Kmiles. Thanks

If you are talking about the plastic L shaped one, then it plugs onto the back of the speedometer.
