Rear window lock 1800 1973

My lock key will not turn the lock on the rear window. The keys are newely made to factory code. They open the doors. Any one able to tell me how to remove the lock while the door is looked This is a P1800ES

    If you're certain that the new keys are correct and should work, try not "bottoming it out" totally...back it out a bit (a 1/32" at a time), then try turning, then back out again and repeat...

    If you can't unlock the latch, I don't believe you can open the lid...but you might however be able to turn and unlatch the latch from the inside, then you can open the lid, and then you should be able to extract the lock cylinder for proper locksmithing.

      Hi, Rear locks are usually the problem here in the north east because salt snow and ice. I would spray with some WD40 or other pentrating lube then run the key in and out several times. Sometimes the lock will free up after several tries over a couple days. of coures if the lock has been changed all bets are off.
