940 cutting exhaust s bend HELP

Hey guys, dont know how many of u have first hand expereince of the 940 exhasut but it has a huge section the protrudes from the bumper it a double twist S shape. i havent got the budget for a new back box so i want to hacksaw back to where it leaves the bumper and fit a exhaust trim.
people have suggested in UK VOC that this will result in fumes being sucked back into the car since the pipe will subsequently exit at a different location!?!?!?
dont want to kill myself and dont want to have to pay for new wnd pipe if i make a mistake
thoughts/opinions please!

I've heard the same thing and I believe it. I had a 72 140 that some muffler butcher shop that starts with "M" rebuilt the exhaust system and they replaced the "S" tip with a straight piece. The car had fume problems after that.

I'd stick with the "S".
