Hello all. I did it ! I replaced heater blower motor in the 1987 240DL. Took me about 5x hours total. Now I feel as though i can do just about any Volvo repair. Fixing non working overdrive should be easy compared to this(i hope).

Great feeling to get this accomplished and have lots of (relatively) quiet airflow. Plus you have now rehearsed about 1/2 the job of a heater core replacement!

Yep, that's about as bad a job as you'll find on a 240 - of course the trailing arm bushings can be quite a trial, but they're more a matter of the delicate application of brute force... If you did the blower motor, you can handle the OD. Only thing is you'll get dirtier. Congratulations!

Yeah I am about to replace mine as well. I have a 93 240. Didnt they change the location on that year or is it the same procedure. Thanks Brandon
