Please verify IAC test results 900 1993

Please help verify if my IAC valve is functioning properly.
Bench test: Pins 1 to 2 and pins 2 to 3 measure 13 ohms.
At rest, the valve is open approximately 1/8 or an inch.

Voltage applied to pins 1 and 2 (I think) the valve travels the 1/8 inch to close all the way.

Voltage applied to pins 2 and 3, the valve swings a half inch or so to fully open position.

Thanks

Is this for a 940? Is it LH 2.4 fuel injection? If so, it should have a 2 pin IAC which is spring loaded, and applying voltage forces it full open.

So I guess it's LH2.2 then? Either way, I'm assuming that the valve is not spring-loaded - when you force it to either endstop, it stays there. If this is the case, the best test is to have it out of the car, and rotate it on its axis, jerking it back and forth. You should hear it click to each endstop easily (confirm by looking into intake/outlet).

Here's a post re: throttle body / TPS / IAC valve. In your case, if you want to exercise the unit by applying voltage, connect 12V to the center pin, and alternate ground between the 2 outside pins.
