740 turbo breather problems 700

Okay, I got it that there is no flame trap. I have oil coming out of the intercooler hose on the driver side apparently, because the carbon cylinder thing about the size of a coffee can is covered in oil as well as the bottom of that hose wet with oil. The oil filler cap is weeping oil as well.
Is there any pictures on which breather/vacuum/pcv, etc. hoses I need to start with and check for clogging ? In any order and method? I am spending way too much time on the FAQ and not finding anything.
Does this sort of thing just start immediately?

Don't know if this has been mentioned but your turbo oil return line looks like it may be plugged. Typically over time it gets restricted from deposites of dried oil generated from the hot turbo. If it's plugged the turbo oil has no place to go and it ends up getting blown/sucked into the air intake system.

which one is the turbo return line? the one that crosses over the engine that looks like a hose in a hose that starts at the same Y (the non flame trap thing) the small tube that runs to the manifold?

I have the Mitsu turdo on my 740 and there's a large (1/2in) metal tube bolted to the underside of the rotor housing running down the side of the engine and dumping into the block above the oil pan. If you remove it try not to lose the rubber seal on the engine end. There's a drain hole in the bottom of the intercooler on the drivers side that allows you to dump out any trapped oil.

I'll bet your problem is the oil separator box under the rer of the intake manifold.
It's blocked, the o-ring seal is broken and it's spraying oil on the intake hose, the alternator, and the charcoal cannister. Check the firewall behind the engine and under the P/S reservior too.
    BT, DT.
AS well as making sure the hoses to the box are clear, I'd just change it and it's o-ring. I used some goo called "The Right Stuff", under there, too.

I cleaned my breather box the other day. Piece of cake.

It was fairly clogged at both of the smaller openings (has three). Used a small screwwdriver to scrape and scrape the crud loose that I could see (or reach inside). I then sprayed engine cleaner into it while holding the other side closed with my finger - and shook and drained. Had to repeat the spray, shake and drain about 5-6 times B4 it came out clear.

I used some Permatex gasket 'GOO' too, but I only used around the larger of the bottom openings. The other smaller tube/opening slides into the hose that feeds into the crankcase. The rubber on this hose was not rock hard, so I took a chance that it would seal itself off - and it did. No leaks.

Per the FAQ, pull all the breather hoses into the intake manifold from the flame trap and make sure your intake manifold ports are clear. Clean the breather box. Replace the oil cap gasket. Make sure the entire breather system is clear before taking further measures.
