I thought that this was only on 94 and 95 940s. Someone told me differently. db

I was under the impression that all generation 3 turbos had the oil spray. That meant they started in 1990.

L block B230s have piston oil sqirters. They also have the round profile tooth timing belt. As McDuck wrote, piston oil cooling started in the 1993 model year.

Look at the tag on the timing cover, and you'll see the L.



In this picture, you can see the piston oil squirters.

Just the later ones, possibly starting in '93, but '94 and '95 for sure.
