turbo flame trap 700

Does a 90 740 turbo have a flame trap? where is it located if so?
Also, should oil be coming out the filler cap? Will it have outward pressure because it is a turbo versus the normal volvo engines that are supposed to have a slight vacuum?
Thanks

No flame trap but check the vacuum lines from Y fitting (attached to hose directly above oil separator) to intake.

With oil cap off, you can blow through end of PCV line (disconnect at turbo hose) and there should be little resistance--IE air will come out of oil filler hole.

As for leakage around cap, you could try to replace the oil cap rubber seal. It helped stop the leak on my cap. My opinion is Volvo did a piss-poor job of engineering the oil cap--it should be a screw on cap with an o-ring. My Honda has that setup, has just as much blowby and never leaks.

Turbo cars don't have a flame trap. Check the Oil Trap and the vent lines connecting from it to the intake manifold and induction hose. There is a Y fitting , above the oil trap, which may also be plugged.

on a turbo car, is there a smaller hose that goes to the intake?
