Distributor Play 200 1988

1988 240 dl wagon 250000 ... I have the distributor out in my hand how much play should there be "up-down" in the dist. shaft. It appears that the hall trigger plate is the only thing that holds the shaft on with this model. It has only one washer directly under the trigger . I have at least 1/8 inch play from top to bottom ? And i am hearing a tink noise from it at idle and speed. Whenever i hear the noise i get a shutter in the motor. Is this puppy worn out or is it normal play or am i missing a washer ? lockring? can i add a washer to fill in gap ? Thanks Guys and Gals

I just had my Dissy recurved to factory specs, from Bosch 200 1988

1/8 inch seems about right. Do you have a JGFU4 Distributor? Copy the numbers down from the side of the Dissy. Contact Bosch and have them send you an Advance Curve. Have it overhauled. It might be that one of the Springs has come off the Centrifugal Weights. Pry the metal caps off the sides and take a peek. Have you taken it apart?
