Andrea ... actually I think VCOA is or was responsible for issuing them .... took FOREVER to get my full set .... was really disappointed that they didn't go over 1,000,000 ..... currently have 1,554,000 miles on Ole Reliable .... and this last winter was really rough on the old girl .... I'm going to try to aquire a winter beater before next winter sets in .... 40 Nova Scotia winters is enough for ANY car .... unless of course you want to raise funds to sent both my car and me to the sunny south for the winter months .... ;-)

With all due regard to VOLVO, my car has 335.000 and I made 3 applications for these badges over the last 3 months, follwed up on them twice, filled forms and papers and talked to people, on the phone, by e-mail and slow mail.
BUB-KISS to put it nicely.
Regards, ANdrea

From the volvo site:

Considering you have to drive 100,000 miles to join, the Volvo High Mileage Club is surprisingly popular among Volvo owners. We've known for quite a while that Volvos have a reputation for longevity, which speaks well for the Volvo engineers and craftspeople that design and build our cars. And our dedication to automotive safety and quality of construction is equally strong. So a few years ago, we introduced the Volvo High Mileage Club to recognize owners who have driven their Volvos more than 100,000 miles. New members receive an attractive grille medallion and letter of verification, with ongoing recognition for every additional 100,000 miles they drive.

2,000,000 Miles and Counting
Perhaps the single most stunning example of legendary Volvo durability is the shiny red 1966 Volvo P1800 owned by Irv Gordon. So far it has been driven a world-record-breaking 2,000,000 miles and counting.

How to Join
It couldn’t be easier. Provided your Volvo is legally registered and the odometer reads at least 100,000 miles, you’re just one call away from becoming a member of the High Mileage Club. Simply call the Volvo Personal Shopper at 1-800-550-5658 for a registration form.

The grill emblems are nice, but I didn't want any additional clutter on my '64 PV front end. Instead, I just printed up a series of the different badges on decal paper and mounted a string of them on the passengers windshield along the A pillar. 100,000 as of June 1970 - 200,000 as of Sept 1981 - 300,000 as of January 1991 - 418,000 and counting as of today.

And yes, they do eventually fade out in the sun, but I have plenty of sticker paper to make as many as I want.

Yes, I can post the images on my website if you care to download them. You'll need to fill in the month and year for each milestone, or edit out the little box provided.
