The door hold open, U shaped thingy on the drivers door, lower hinge snapped the other day.

Can the hold open be replaced or do I need a new hinge assy?

    I believe you'll be pulling the whole assembly. Curious, though, how long did it go ker-snap before it went ker-snap-clink? (they seem to dry out quickly)

      Ker-snap is actually a pretty good description! It started ker-snapping about a year, year and a half ago. I shot a bunch of spray grease on it and that helped until 2 weeks ago when I heard a ker-tink and found the broken piece on the floor mat.

      :) both my front doors and the '82s drivers door have been going KER-SNAP for as long as I've owned them. I guess it's good that the 89 parts car is going to donate a couple... BTW Art do you need anything from it?

        Hey Rob:

        I need a left front fender and driver door for my '93 Classic which was crunched by an errant backhow on a trailer a couple weeks ago, though shipping $ probably dictate that I look around central Florida first.
