Does anyone have part numbers for the following exhaust items:

1. Volvo OEM cat-back exhaust kit (about $175)
2. Hanger, clamp & hardware kit for the above (about $25)

272261 (aluminized) and 272262 (longlife) respectively. Mounting kit is 272296, all parts for 230FT and live rear axle. Note that this kind of parts however are often replaced - original part numbers may not apply today. Dealer is the only way to go for accurate numbers.

I all standard exhaust systems (for any make of car) are "aluminized". My guess would be that in the case of Volvo's "longlife" exhaust, at least some of the parts in the system are stainless steel.

I *think* longlife is supposed to be longer life :-). Not sure on that one but there will be an obvious price difference.

Where is the cheapest place to buy these parts? I have a feeling that I may be needing a new exhaust system in the near future (getting louder), and I also have a '93 945T.

I ordered my Volvo aluminized kit (VOL-272261) from FCP Groton for $175. The useful hanger kit (VOL-272296) was 25. Shipping $15. Just had it installed for 0.75 hours labor (easy).

Make sure you check the parts well ... it seems that my new tailpipe is for the non-turbo ... only 2-inch O.D. ... noticably smaller than the one I took off.
