Hi, I have a 1993 960 sedan which has begun to experionce an a/c problem. At idle the blower will maintain the set speed but as you begin to accerelerate the fan speed decreases. It does not seem to happen if I am standing still and just increase the revs, but only when the car is moving.

Sorry I misread your post. Decrease in air flow not increase in air flow. Poolman is correct, it would be air valve problem. I'll post later on how I fixed same problem by just blocking off a hose (I have to look and see what I did).

Perhaps it the air coming into the vents (between the windshield and hood). There is supposed to be a plastic cover over the intake on the passenger side to keep dirt, leaves, water, etc. from getting in your fan. This cover would tend to block direct outsides air flow. Perhaps it is missing and air is being directly forced into the fan.

    Just a hunch.

I think you may be experiencing a vacuum problem coming from one of the servo's. At idel when you rev it up it's all fine ,but when it's in gear there is a load on the engine ,and that pulls vacuum away from the servo's and from the vent source you have selected. Check the faq pages for the fix on this.
      Hope that helps
      Poolman
