BW55 vs AW70-71( trannys) 200 1982

Hi! there does any body Knows if the BW55 where strong and bullet proof as the AW70-71 trans?

I got the chance to buy this 82 242 glt , and i think it has the BW55 so i was wondering if it will give me problems later on , it is running ok for now ...
just wanna make sure ..

It would be unusual for any '82 to have a BW55, but it's possible. If anything, the BW is more trouble-free than an AW-70, but that's because you give up the overdrive!

If you swap, you'll aslo need the driveshaft from the BW55 - it's longer.
