Bumber on an 84 240 200

Hey there fellow Volvo owners,

Just recently purchased this 84 244DL with some very minor front end damage on the driver's side. I have most of the replacment parts but have been having some trouble locating the driver's side "hockey puck" piece of trim above the bumber. I can find tons of them for the 86' model year and on but not very many if any for the earlier bodystyle. Does anyone know if the later model bumber trim will fit an '84? Also, the front bumber has a dent in it. Can I get away with just replacing the rubber cover (purely for looks)? Thanks for your help.

    As far as I know, that "hockey stick" trim piece on the front bumper is unique to the 1983, 84 and 85 240 models. Head for a junk yard or two.

    Evan R. might chime in on this one, he will know for sure what fits what.

    Old clips are hard to re-use so consider getting new ones, takes three or four. Get at a dealer, as I think the after-market sellers don't carry that one.
