What is the official and average gas consumption you guys have been expeiencing on the S90 litres/100km.

    I live at high altitude so my numbers are not representative, but I have averaged 23.6 mpg for 73,000 miles on our S90 and a little less than that on our 95 960. I have gone over 29 mpg 4 times with the S90 on straight highway miles. I do not drive city miles all so as I said my mileage is not representative.

    In cold weather and short trips I get only 15 MPG at best. Highway miles are much better but I have never yet done a full tank that way. I am hoping for 21 MPG using regular.

      I get an average of 21 mixed highway and city, I'll let you do the conversion, if that a problem post back I will do it for you.

        Back when my 97--960 was fresh at 40k on the odometer I was getting 27 to 28 on the interstate, now after 210k I'm getting 24-25, in town it's 19 to 20, qand the car is running strong still.

          I've had my 965 for about two months. I only get about 15.5-16 mpg in city. I got just under 25 mpg on my one highway trip (Dallas to El Paso, TX)when I averaged about 85mph. I'm not concerned but would like to improve my in town mileage if possible. I run mid grade fuel (88 octane here in El Paso) but am still on dino (car had just had the 70K service when I purchased it in Jan. I've put 1800 miles on it and figured I'd change to synth at 73K).

            Put synthetic in the engine and the trans and try one tank of premium and see if your in town mileage goes up.
