Will a hood fit inside my wagon? 700

I need to go pick up a replacement hood at Voluparts later this week. My question is one of physics. Will a hood for 1990 740 wagon fit INSIDE the aforementioned 740 wagon? Gotta get it home somehow!

Based on my tape measure I think yes, just wondering if anyone out there has real life experience with transporting body parts around. Volvo body parts that is!

    I'm storing my replacement hood, Tailgate, two fenders, cowling, rear seat backs, and an assortment of turbo parts in the back of my 87 745T project car. With the rear seat down of course!

      Yep, I'm sure it would. Problem is I don't have one. Love the look of the smooth top!!!

            Yes, bc I've fit a spare in the trunk of my `89 745t.

            Only to have some deek walk over the new hood after I installed it.

              Thanks, that's what I need to hear!

              I,as some have mentioned do have a "clamp-on" Yakima rack that I can put on when I need it. I just didn't want to worry with having a big, airflow grabbing, light thing like a hood to woory about doing 80 on the way back from Voluparts on Friday. Fell much better about dropping the rear seats and sticking it back there!

              I'll try to avoid the deer!!
