Front end clicking? 900 1993

This weekend I'm taking a look at a '93 945T with 88k miles - found on internet. I requested a description of flaws (a faulty radio, a bum window switch) and was told that there was a clicking noise coming from the front end while turning or going over bumps at low speed. My guesses include: strut bearing, strut, or loose pads in the caliper. Any advice on likely sources? This would be my first Volvo and I've specifically sought out a clean 940 series. I've printed off the FAQ's / Buyer's guide.

You said about everything. Maybe control are stays, the little flying saucer looking thinks. There are for of them and I found they wear out at a quicker rate than everything else and they are very easy to change if you can break the nut lose.

regards,

Lane

"clicking"?
You'd think it's front wheel drive and the u-joint is shot... but that's not it of course.

Hopefully its' just the tie-rod end, typically first to go, and just a few dollars and couple minutes to replace.
