No Blower Air? 700 1991

My sons 91 740 has no heat. The blower can be heard running but it creats virtually no wind. I think it is a problem whether set at Defrost, floor or dash outputs. Thanks for the help. H

You've lost vacuum from the engine. Look for a small rubber hose that's split, or an inline check valve that's failed.

Two weeks ago, I bought an 87 765T. I wasn't getting any heat but the blower was working. I found and replaced 5 vacuum hoses that had split but this did not fix the problem. I took the car to a Volvo mechanic who, after some time spent troubleshooting, found the problem. He told me that under the front of the car is a vacuum canister that has two ports. One port has a vacuum hose connected to it. The other port is not used and has a rubber plug. The plug had deteriorated, causing a vacuum leak. Once the plug was replaced, I had heat.
