Going to do a tune up... 200

I'm going to tune up my 1990 245 with 196k mi. Can someone suggest the best components to use? Best plugs, wires, rotor, etc. I've searched the site and haven't found much.
Thanks,
Andrew

free shipping from www.eeuroparts.com for order over $39 and it arrives quickly too. i've used them twice and have no complaints. got my tune up parts and an exhaust system from them.

i have bosch platinums and they've worked for me fine. i read on the internet that the bosch coppers perform better but they don't last as long as the platinums.

I'm not sure if this relates to your year, but when I had my '83 and did a partial tune-up on it, I put in the bosch platinum plugs. bad idea. I was under the hype that it would be better! it made the car idle like crap and I did not know why. after scratching my head and thinking I screwed something up, I decided to use what worked in the first place and put in the same plugs that were originally on it. so back I went to the auto store to get the regular bosch plugs (the ones in the green/yellow box). I put them in and voila, car started and idled like a happy car. I wasted some bucks on the platinum plugs, which didn't do anything for my car. I haven't tried nkg plugs, but if you go for bosch, don't waste yer money on the fancy stuff, get the $0.99/plug bosch brand. btw, good to change the air filter while you're at it. I noticed volvo-brand filters are no different from fram or purulator filters in price, at least here in california.

btw, you can also get volvo plugs at the dealer. I was pleasantly surprise how affordable they were at the dealer!

NGK BPR6ES plugs, Bougicord wires, Bosch rotor, Mann air filter, (while you're at it, Mann oil filter, new flame trap, Bosch gas filter if it's due, and maybe an O2 sensor if yours is original). Try www.fcpgroton.com
