ABS LIGHT ON 700

Okay... I checked the FAQ section first and it is a big help... Here are a couple of questions I have that were not in there:

Once I have the rotors off (referencing a clock angle) where is this "ABS sensor" located on the 'hat'...? Is it obvous once I have the rotor off?

What should I use to clean the ABS sensor...? Is brake cleaner adequate...?

How about the sensor connectors? Should I clean these or am I asking for trouble?

In advance thanks for all your feedback... I appreciate it...

You can pull the sensors out of the backing plate- one screw I think, it's been a while since I looked at them.

They're magnetic and pick up brake rotor filings and road grit. I clean them off with masking tape- it pulls up any filings quite well. The sensor has kind of an edge that looks at a wavy ring. Other than clocking the rotor to the locating bolt holes, there's no special alignment or anything if you take it off. If you do take the rotor off, clean the ring with a wire brush or something, it can't hurt.

Good luck!
