vacuum hose system 200 1987

about to get yearly inspec., is there a way to check for leaks without expensive instruments/procedures??

rlc is right. i had 3 hoses splitting.

i inspected the 2 vac hoses that attach to the throttle body, both were split.

also, the vac hose from the fpr (fuel pressure regulator) to the intake manifold was split also. it was so brittle that it snapped when i stretched the bend out.

be sure to get the right kind of vac hoses that can take gasoline vapors.

i just barely passed my NOx emissions with some of these split hoses. lots of unmetered air coming in and the vacuum to the fpr was not working properly.

there are other vac hoses too.
