760 turbo wagon cust out/off when hot. 700 1987

Guy brought me this 87 760 turbo wagon, wireing harness falling apart, out of gas, had been poked at by a bunch of people.

I rebuilt the harness, fixed a few other things.
Fires right up cold, runs smooth, all seems well. Five minutes into running, temp gauge showing half way mark, it all the sudden starts mising and running really ragged, you can hear the idle air valve trying to compensate, very shortly after it cuts off. Starts right back up, runs smoothe a few seconds, then repeats the above.

Thoughts, direction? I have way more time in this thing than I'll ever get paid for on the harness(never again). Thanks..

It was the damn Hall sensor, seems to flake out when it gets hot.
What a bitch, but it does it's thing now.

    Thanks for the help guys.

Well.. It's not the coil or power stage. I'm going to see if I have an ignition module at work, ECU and dist as well. Beyond that I give up. I believe this is why I drive a diesel. Man I hate being whipped by a car..

Definitly heat related, fired up cold, ran like a top, held 2500rpm like silk till the moment it decided to quit, then it just quit. The Hall sensor in that dist prone to heat problems?

it depends on what kills the engine. Lack of spark, lack of fuel or injectors not opening. I'd do the hall sensor if there's no spark. If the fuel pressure drops when it dies (should be around 33 psi), check the fuel pump relay(white) and the supression relay(black). Don't remeber the locations off hand. If the injectors aren't firing, I'd check the intake manifold grounds. Make sure there's no leaks in the turbo piping between the MAF sensor and the turbocharger, this would cause an excessivly lean mixture when it warms up.
