water in engine compartment 200

Water is leaking in through the gap between the fender and the hood and is wetting the battery and the 25 amp fuse and everything else on that side. I cant understand why all of a sudden this is happening. The gap is larger than on the passenger side. I tried yanking the hood to close the gap but to no avail. Any nifty solutions to this problem. Thanks as always Phil

Adjusting The Hood May Help. Also What I Have Done Is PLace A Piece Of Rubber Wider At Front(To Cover Battery) Then Narrower(To Cover Fuse Area) In This Area Over Battery And Fuse Area So As Any Water That Does Get In Runs Over And Exits Past Battery And Fuse Area. I Also Use Rubber In Same Way To Cover Wiper Motor Area Under Hood So As That Doesn't Get Water/Moisture On It. Hope This Helps.

you can adjust your hood at the base area near the springs, if you loosen the 3 bolts and then adjust it accordingly. also you can adjust the rubber stopper feet in the front near the radiator by screwing them down or up.

A helper is recommended for the first procedure.

    Hope this helps.
