Bilstiens 120-130

Installed a front set of Bilstein shocks today to match the rear ones I put on a couple weeks ago. The rear ones came with a long, blue plastic sort of cap that went over the shock rod- the front ones didn't come with one. Should they have? I doubt the cap-thing provides all that much protection from dust and dirt, etc. getting onto the rod and possibly into the cannister part, but....
Just wondering.

    Made me go look...

Nope, no blue plastic thingies on the fronts.

      Thanks Phil!
Y'know, ya order things via the internet and ya always just have to wonder...

Anyway, I wouldn't call the Bilstiens a night and day difference over the KYB (which I understand are not good to use with lowered springs) shocks that were on the car, but there is a positive difference. And of course while I was under there I noticed that the rubber boots on the ball joints are tearing, so that's the next task..... As well as a drum puller and new wheel cylinders on the rear (hey, where are the bleeder nipples....hmmmm, I can't find them..... Oh, I see, they've BOTH been sheared off! Oh, the fun!). At least she still runs like a champ, the brakes do work and so does the heater!

All I want for Christmas is temps somewhere over 45 degrees..... and NO SNOW~! Oh, and the new wheel cylinders ASAP.
