cleaning air vents 200 1987

can the air vent exits be removed for easier cleaning... the little baffles on mine are grimy and may contribute to the cigarette smell of the car...thanks to all.

If your are talking about the air vents that are in the dash, then YES you can remove them. The air vents on the ends of the dash have a trim piece on the bottom that you can pull off gently in order to reveal a phillips screw underneath that secures the vent in place. The center (twin) vent has two screws just to the left of the vents. If you have the two guages to the right of the instrument cluster remove the trim bezel for the bottom gauge to reveal the two screws. If you do not have any guages in those guage pods then remove the bottom blank cover to reveal the screws. All of the vents should come out easily after the screws are removed. Good Luck!
