My baby was in its first accident since she was new; my son rear ended a Honda Civic. Nobody was injured at all. Interestingly, our bumper wound up under the bumper of the honda and our front end was damaged more than the honda...our grill and the headlights were pushed in. It looked to me like the honda just needs a new rear bumper cover, hopefully not more. I intend to pay for the Honda repair and fix my car myself so I will not have to report it to our insurance company. I spent this morning taking apart the front end of my 240 and working on straighting out the sheet metal as best as I could. The bumper itself is scratched but not really bent. It looks like the headlights can be salvaged but the black plastic backplates that they are attached to are both in many pieces and need to be replaced. Also, the right front directional/parking light assembly was crushed. If anyone has these parts or has access to them, please respond and I will purchase them from you since pick and pull volvo parts are hard to find here. The grill is damaged but salvageable, but the plastic clips that holds it in were sheared and need to be replaced also.
Any help and advice in finding these parts would be appreciated.
As always, Thanks,
Michael
