slight hop at front passenger wheel 700

the front wheel started to have a slight hop at speed over 30mph today. the tires are a few weeks old and there seems to be no obvious issue with them. the car is new to me and has 140xxx miles. the tire guys said the front struts should be replaced in the next few months. could you give me some direction to track down the problem? thanks

If the wheels are balanced, then wheel hop is almost always due to worn struts.

Anyone else out there have a spouse who just "aims" for stuff laying in the road...?
