240 has weak spark, now what?? 200

Ok, I checked my 240 for spark again today by sticking a screwdriver into the end of the HT lead from and coil and holding it near a ground. There is only a small spark after I let off from cranking the engine (none while the engine is cranking, but a small spark at the instant I let off of the key). I repeated this procedure on my other '86 240 (it runs!) to see how the spark should be. It was a strong spark present DURING cranking on the other 240. So, what could be giving a weak spark like that on the non running '86? BTW, I've changed the coil already.

Thanks,
Dave

Well, check your distributor of course. Changing your plug wires might help (swap these parts out of the other car if possible). Could be your wiring harness as well if you havn't fixed that yet, which would mean that the coil isn't getting a good signal through the engine wiring harness. I am not an expert on LH-Jet cars, as I own a K-Jet myself ;)
