1972 144 alternator 140-160 1972

I need help, i am searching for a 35 amp alternator for my car and all anyone can come up with is a 55 amp. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible to switch out a 55 for a 35? Thanks all
cecil

Even better, get a late 240 60A alternator that has the built in regulator. A little wiring, but much better and will last forever.

Use the 55.
Note that the Bosch and SEV alternators use different, non-interchangeable regulators.
