Problem with TURBO PLUS :( 700

Hi everyone,

I installed the Turbo + setup out of a ~87 745T in my '91 745T. The installation was fairly easy (with the help of my Vo mechanic). Anyway, so I pop in the 10A fuse and off I go for a test drive. I let the engine warm up, make sure the turbo is working normally, then I put it to the floor. Sure, the car is fast, but I don't feel any bump in power in the 3500-4000 RPM range and the guage is showing about 1/2 into the white. So, I stop and pull the Turbo + fuse. I pull out and put it to the boards; No noticeable change. Guage still goes about 1/2 into the white and the acceleration feels pretty much the same. What gives?!? Is the Turbo + not working? Is there a way to test it to see if it's ok? The electronic control unit is plugged in, the relay is there, the hose is hooked to the turbo (the other into the airbox), the ground wire is attached, the wires are attached to the coil, the wire tapped into the #3 wire on the throttle position sensor and the red power wire attached to the battery. HUH? Any help would be appreciated!

Have you verified that flooring the accelerator results in contact being made with #3 of the TPS ?

      Hi Noel,

No, how would I do that? The black and white Turbo + wire is tapped into the #3 TPS wire using a special little wire connector that my mechanic gave me. I just assumed contact was made (he installed it too). How do I test it? A test light plugged into the black test connector on the black and white wire? Thanks for the help :)
