Dash Board Conversion 700

So, I have an 88 744 TIC. I used to have a 91 744 NA. I like my turbo much more and I like the body more than the 91. But, I have to say the dash in the 91 was prettier. I want it back. So, is there any way I can put a new-style dash into my 88? Other than simply getting it to fit, what do I need to worry about in terms of lining up with AC vents?

Will the new gauges work with the old sensors? Is this job nuts or doable?

Thanks,
Eamon

Have lotza fun with this one! For starters connectors are diffrent, wire positions have changed to make room for new gadgets and to speed assembly time on the line. A/C system is also different being the later ones mounted the fan motor on the side rather than the bottom of the airbox and outlet ducts have been changed to work with the flatter dashboard.

In short its alot of work but can be done if you have the factory wiring diagrams and the whole donor car sitting close by. This is something even I wouldn't attempt!

Difficult. The electricals on the back of the instrument panel will be your biggest challenge, since the later connectors and configuration are not the same as in the earlier, square IP.
