NEED A MECHANIC IN ALBANY, NY 200 1990

I recently bought a 1990 240 with 218k miles. I gave it to my daughter, who goes to suny Albany, after doing considerable rehabilitation(Torque rods, motor mounts, overdrive fix, wiper motor, windshield seal, door handle, etc. I live on Long Island, NY. I'm looking for a good, cheap ("fair") mechanic she can use in her area for anything that might come up, which I'm sure it will, even though the car runs good now. Any recommendations? Thanks. And thanks to all the people on brickboard who helped me with the above repairs.

I moved to the Twin Cities about 4 years ago, but I used to use Glenmont Auto, just West of Rt 9W. It's about a Mile south of the I87 exit where it meets I787 (exit 23?).

They were always honest, reliable and were even willing got use used parts I found at yards. One of the owners was a tech at the local Volvo dealership for many years before going independent. They don't specialize in Volvos, but they know them.

Two places I am familiar with (although there are others). In Vorheesville, try Pete at Froelich's, and in Ballston Spa there is Paul at Quality Foreign Car Care. Both of these guys are very good. However, the going rate at these places is probably $65+/hr, so you might want to pay her a visit and spend the afternoon with regular maintenance items to cut costs.
