Why is there no turbo guage on the 1995 940 turbo? Or was it an option the orignal owner left off? Also, no turbo badge?

My 1995 940 T has no gague... and it doesn't need one either.

The Kick in the Pants let know when the turbo's doing it's job.

Bought a 1994 940 Turbo new. Boost gauge was part of the instument cluster. The owners manual indicates that the turbo equiped cars came with one.

The car did not have a "Turbo" badge. There were several new cars on the lot without them (but not all). The salesman said it was a regional marketing preference. The dealer could glue them on if I wanted one. I prefer being without, leaves the other guy wondering when he gets left behind by a brick.

That's the way my 1995 944T came from the factory. No T-guage, no T badges. When the bright coating deteriorated on the Volvo and 940 badges, I removed the remaining bright coat and they look pretty good in black. Then I used a 3M badge/trim adhesive to mount a blacked out 240 "Turbo" badge centered on the lower trunk hatch just above the bumber. Slightly different style lettering but it looks good IMO, and it gives rice rockets left in the dust at stop lights ... some explaination of why a big white "Swedish Brick" just smoked them.

BTW ... I noticed your radio mounting kit posting ... I've installed CD players in both my 87 745T and 95 944T using a kit made by a manufacture called Metra. I used the Volvo multi kit which includes mounts for 200/700/900 all in one package ... I know Metra also markets individual kits for 200 or 700/900 series. Try a search for Metra Turbokits Volvo and see if you can locate a dealer. Hope this helps.
