Hey guys, I usually go to my local yard for parts like this, but there seem to be a shortage of '89-93 salvage Volvos around here.
I'm in need of a set of fuel injectors from an '89-'93 Volvo 240/740. A neighbor down the road from me has been getting repeating codes from the diagnostic unit that point to a failed injector. I haven't checked the resistance of the injectors yet but I'm pretty sure that of them is bad. If somebody out there could spare me one (or possibly all 4) injectors, that would be greatly appreciated. I can pay for them as long as it's reasonable. The car is still driveable, but it's definately running a bit rich (on top of the codes of "bad injector" and "compensating for rich/lean condition"). The FPR seems to be fine and I have found no other problems with the car. -I even swapped the 561 ECU for a 951 that I had and the same codes returned.
FYI, the Bosch Fuel Injectors are color coded at the electrical connectors for easy identification when picking them out of a pile. The '89-'93 injectors have yellow electrical connectors on them (part number 0280150762), the '85-'88 ones are black (part number 0280150734), and the '84-'89 700 Turbo turbo injectors are blue (part number 0280150357).
I've got spare blue and black injectors lying around here, but am short a set of yellow ones. Email me if you can help out, and I'll be glad to send you financial compensation or a different set of injectors for trade. My email is available above by clicking on my name at the top of the post.
God bless,
Fitz Fitzgerald.
