Thanks all for brake help and installation 200

This weekend finished up the final corner for my brake job...had to have my Volvo guy do it as my friend and I were unable to bang off the rusted rotor and gave up after 2 hours (We were able to do all other corners). All in all the process went well and tips here were extremely valuable as usual. New setup: Ate Powerdisks front/rear, PBR Metal Masters w/new springs and pins, and SS lines. Still going easy on the brakes but they feel great, no pull, pedal very firm = extremely happy!!

Best,
Adam

DAWG,

You are such a 240 pimp!!! I am back from a long BrickBoard break and have begun working on my car again.

My next project involves replacing all the rotors w/ ATE's as well. Already have the SS lines. Good to know that you like the upgrade.

How about those PBR's ? I have heard good and bad about the Metal Masters. What made you go with them instead of something else?

Peace, Jon

Bro,

Nothing better than installing PBR's while enjoying a few cold and frosty PBRs...classic!! I'm loving the setup but still breaking them in. The brake pedal is really firm and at higher speeds the car really "stops" quickly. I ordered the front ATE's from FCP Groton as well as the pads, and the rear ATE's and SS lines from IPD. I talked with IPD for a bit and they said that with the ATE Powerdisks, the metal masters, and the ss lines that setup would be fantastic. Now I've heard as well, that since the pads are semi-metallic 10-15K down the line they might start to squeek. We'll cross that bridge when/if it rears its ugly head. Welcome back! Someday I'd like to fit the S60R big brakes to the 240...been done before and extremely sick!!

Best,
Adam

Hey, you know a Volvo is coming by the sound of the squeaky disk brakes.
I recognize the sound a mile away.
