Found out on CarFax that my 89' Volvo has an open recall. Does anyone here know what this recall is?

"Recall #P2909 Control unit LH2.4"

Wow I hope its true,, I have two 89's and one I have grounded out the relay to make it run since the 561's fuel signal is missing..Thanks for the information.......Max

Is there a way to look up recall information other than Carfax? I dont really want to pay for a carfax report...

What could the LH 2.4 control unit be other than the trouble-prone 561 ECU?

Rob, I'd bet money that it's regarding the 561 ECU. The question is, will Volvo give him a free 951 ECU to replace it? I'm curious to know, and I may inquire about that recall myself at my local dealership to see if it's still active.
