Wandering idle - 95 960 900

The engine idle is rolling gently with the occasional odd hiccup between 900 to 500. What needs to get done to get this to stick at the 850-900 specs? Other then that engine runs smoothly at all speeds.

Ideas?

May this find you well. It could be an idle air control valve in need of cleaning. See the FAQs, under FEATURES, above, for this procedure.

Thanks Spook! Found the FAQ and checking in my Chiltons......One final remaining question?

Where is the idle valve in the big 6 engine compartment?

It's hooked to the air tube between the air mass meter and throttle body.
When you take the tube off it's hooked on to the underside of the air delivery tube.
