Can you recommend a buyer's guide and a shop manual for the 240? Thanks.

    The Volvo Factory Manuals (Green), The Bently Bible (The BOOK On 83-93 Volvos), The BRICKBOARD, and a good set of tools is all you will ever need (well, maybe some PB Blaster too). Good Luck!!!

    I have always used Haynes, there easy to find, cheap($10-$20) and easy to understand. Go down to AutoZone, PepBoys, etc. they will have it.

    Buyers guide: just read info here at "Brickboard" and other Volvo related boards.

    Manuals: Bently; Haynes; Chilton ( I use a combo of them). Also, check ebay for Volvo "Green" manuals...factory info/ specs on particular years/ models.

    Chat with a Volvo owner, for more reading info.
