I picked up the 944T last night 900

I drove the car from Long Island, NY to Roanoke, Virginia and the car performed marvelously. However, fuel mileage wasn't the greatest (comparing it to my TDi Jetta getting 48 miles per gallon). Took me $38 to fill up.

One major difference over my past Volvoes is that there is no cooling fan attached to the water pump pulley. Seems very roomy to change hoses and belts.

The shocks aren't supple. What shock combination is recommended to restore the OE feel?

thanks again for your recommendations for this car.

Sounds like you got a great car -

The shocks I'd recommend are Boge TurboGas, better control than the Boge standard replacements, and not as harsh as Bilsteins seem to be on 700/900s.
Also, expect significantly higher gas bills. The best my 945T got was about 24 hyway at "reasonable" speed, around 75. (BTW, my 744T with manual trans/OD gets 26, only difference is the trans.)
