Thanx for the quick come back, but I should have said "no power to fuel pumps when wet now no power at all. Have put new fuel relay on and checked wiring up to the fuse box thats OK, it is some where between fuse box and fuel pumps. Any help please. Dusty

Don`t overlook the fact that the pump relay will not operate unless the ECU sees
ignition pulses from the coil primary.

Possibly water is causing a short in the primary circuit.

Check for spark at the coil, if no spark the most likely causes would be dampness/corrosion in the flywheel sensor or power stage wiring connectors.

Colin, thank you for your input I will ckeck that out when I go out to work on her this morn. I did check the number 1 cylinder and there was spark.
What I have done was check everything up to the fuse box, than I had my wife turn the key on to the first posision while I was in the trunk with a test light ckecking thepink wire for the fuelpump I then had her crank it over and still nothing. So there must be a sensor or something in between. I'll just keep plugging along today and if no luck will have to send her to the shop Monday.
My wallet is doing already Thanx Dusty

If you do have spark, pull the fuel pump relay and jump terminals 30 and 87 in the relay base, the pumps should then run.

If they do, you may have a problem with the ECU or it`s wiring failing to ground the pump relay coil.

            Colin.

I should mention also Colin that radio dosen't work anymore either. First when I turn the car on after having it towed home the word "code" came up on the radio. Then when I turned the key to "off" and back "on" again, this comes up on the radio screen "EEE". I can hear a faint sound but that's it. Weired huh? Anyway I did the test you ask me do and still no go.I undid all the lines thinking that if I releast all the pressure ths help, still nothing. I'm trying think what is in the ciurcut that could get wet enough to make the car sputter the stop complettly, then rest for five minutes or so and start and run like nothing is wrong.

The radio problem was caused by the battery either being disconnected or the voltage falling to a very low level. Are you sure that the battery and charging system are OK.

Low battery voltage can cause all sorts of problems with the injection and ignition systems.

Well Colin first of all your right the battery went dead because I let the car set for three week before I was able to do anything with it. I belive now is the time I need to bring it to the shop, even with your and some others I just don't seem to be able to find the problem. Thank you again for your help I am going to give it one mor shot tomorrow, right now I am brain dead. Thanx again Dusty
