Sun Visor Placement 120-130

As part of a complete restoration project, I removed my sunvisors about a year ago from my 122 2 door, so they could be re-covered. A week ago I had a new headliner put in. Well, I feel pretty silly now because when I went to reinstall my sunvisors I can't find the holes where the screws go in. They are covered by the new headliner. As you can imagine, I am very hesitant about punching holes just anywhere in my beautiful new headliner. I tried to find them by feel, but could not find anything that I was sure of.
I was wondering if anybody is kind enough to give me some measurements of where they could be found (such as 3" from top of door & 2" from top of windshield). If I can get close, maybe I can trust myself finding them with feel.
I would really appreciate it.

    Hi Tom,

I wish i was as far along as you. Please excuse the chunks of headliner and green chrome. I hope these will help you locate those holes. A little bit of perspective error, but i hope they help you visualize what's beneath, or would that be above the headliner. Those are inches.

    take care,

    Ha! Been there, done that...

The triangular mounts on the visors face upwards, with two screw holes in the bottom edge and one on the top.

The bottom edges of the triangles are about 1/4" above the inner windshield trim.

The outer bottom corners of the triangles are about 2" inboard of the windlace.

Take a needle and poke through the perforations in the headliner to really locate the holes for sure. Once you find the large hole the spring on the visor goes through, make a razor cut in the headliner there. Then you can hold the visor up in place while you find the three screw holes.
