82 240 gl. can i put 17 inch rims on my volvo without any modifications?

What size and offset??? 200

If larger than 7.5" might need to roll the fenders. Incorrect offset will need spacers which run $250-300 for the best quality ones.

Yes. This junkyard listing of Volvo wheels has pictures of several wheels that have an "alt tag" of 17 x 7, indicating they are 17-inch rims. Believe it or not, the rim below is an 18 x 7.5!



However, if you're in the States, you're primarily going to find in junkyards the wheels from this page.

If you're buying from an aftermarket, non-Volvo company, though, I can't tell you what works and what won't. I personally prefer to keep my Brick authentic, if possible.
