Maintenance Manual

Where might one get a quality maintenance manual for the 900 series? Will the 700 manuals work? I've been to 6 parts stores and have been unable to locate a Haynes, Chiltons or Clymer, or any other manual manual for the 900's. Any ideas? Thanks.

You're looking at it. There isn't one in print, unless you print out the FAQ on here. This is one area where Haynes is lacking, and Bentley apparently never issued a good volume on the 900 series. Hence the 700/900 FAQ provided on Brickboard. Even the Volvo books that exist are very expensive, and cover "Systems" rather than the whole car.

Chiltons? Well, Chiltons primary feature is that they print on nicely absorbent paper, therefore making good shop towels.

Don't waste your time with the Haynes, Chiltons I have heard are pretty good. Best thing to get is the service manuals usually found on ebay. These are put out by volvo and come in several books covering each section of the car. ebay or Amazon would be the best place for the Chiltons book. But seriously, don't waste time on the Haynes, I had one for my 240 and it was crap.

Too late! I found a hardcover Haynes Manual for the 940 on Amazon and bought it. Hopefully it won't be as bad as described. being a glutton for punishment I also bought a "Gothenburg Bible" by Paul Grimshaw from IPDUSA. Hopefully I can glean some useful info from both of these.
