Every 240 and A/C Problems?

Why is it the broad trend in 200, 700, and 900 Volvos that the A/C is awful. Could not they get it right eventually. Of course now they have great A/C. Even Mercedes + BMw the A/C sinks.

Any insights about the lack of design. Some will say well the tried to do something. Every 240 I + Family have owned (4 of them ) A/C had to be converted or overhauled.

Any automotive air conditioning system that still works at 10years old is lucky. After that, they all break down, doesn't matter who made them.
Volvos just point out that fact because the rest of the car lasts so long.

I mean Ford can't even make a transmission that'll last 60000 miles. What do they know about longevity?
